Exactly electrical is way harder than mechanical
Since this thread is full of engineers, any petroleum engineers here?
Electrical Eng degree doing Mech Eng and petroleum Eng work.
I could not imagine taking those classes AND playing a sport in college. Respect!
I'm a PE. Felt easy to me, in school, but now knowing the people that tried and couldn't finish, I now understand how it was hard (we are a jack of all trades engineer - a little Civil, lots of Mechanical, lots of Chemical, a little Geology, etc). Even though Im stuck in oil and gas, I wouldn't change for the world...I love what I do. As for my kids, one day, I'd try to stear them towards Aeronautics, Nuclear, or something the like.
As for sports and PE, wasn't that hard, just have to prioritize and be grounded (not too easy for a twenty year old).
Mechanical engineers build things, electrical engineers plug them in.
