Bottom line is I'm sure I wasn't the only one excited for Bentley and Green playing in this game, and to have Green basically take up space when he's on the field grinds my gears.

LG wide open on nice route but Foles went to his AZ teammate on the deeper route. Would've been a TD to either guy

Bently from what I saw was avoided. He defened one pass, one pass completed on him by a receiver taking the route into the middle, and unable to complete a tackle on a running play. IMO with all of these stud BCS corners, he was the one avoided. One more pass that was tipped at the line. If it is not tipped the announcer thinks it is a completion instead of a near interception by Bently. No way I see it just the opposite, he had already jumped the route when the ball was released, if not tipped I think that is a pick six instead of a diving near interception at the line of scrimmage.


L Greene was hidden by the Redskins coaching staff. He ran a few routes, but mostly blocked and IMO did well. One pass I saw thrown to him would have been an outstanding catch, one he made several times for Blaine. He was consistantly open but was not the target.

All in all I would say Bently did very well but Green was hidden, I would not be surprised if the Skins try to steal him late.

at least that is the way I saw it on my recorded version.

Honestly, the NFL scouts know what he can do Running routes and catching-wise. The biggest question mark about him was blocking. That's what he did all game. It would've been nice to see him catch a ball or two, but he did what the scouts wanted to see.

Like I said to Derf earlier, while I'm sure we all wanted Green to have 10 catches for 150 yards and 2 TDs and for Bentley to have a couple picks, the game itself isn't really that important in the grand scheme of things. What was important was the week of practice in front of scouts the guys just went through, and they turned plenty of heads around the NFL this week.

Well folks...

First All-Star Game I've been really excited for in quite a while and all I have to say is "UGH."

One target for LG and in the 2nd half all they wanted to do was have him block. South team lost because the only players that got the ball was Criner and Adams

Much of that was by design. People know he is a receiving threat but the staff likely kept LG in to block to give the scouts things to evaluate him on sine that is the question mark on him at the next level

Yeap. I was about to post the same thing. They wanted to see his blocking ability. This game is not about who wins. They knew the other stuff. They wanted to see him block, and he did a fine job.
