2007 Football Recruiting

I realise its crazy early to be looking at next years class but, I after looking at Rivals, we have some pretty good atheletes coming out of the surrounding area this coming year. Two Guys from Catholic High NI in 6'3 210 4.5 (40) Chase Moore, and TE 6'5 243 4.8 (40). Not too many LA QB's showing up at this point on Rivals but I did see a 6'1 205 pounder from Jesuit, and as you all know we have a couple of players from Jesuit including up and coming QB Connor Morel. I'm not sure of the direction this next class will go in but, I'm sure it'll be more clear after the season. I think with our situation at WR, that a big guy like chase moore could add to our speed at the position but, a guy with that size and that speed will be hard to get from the bigger schools. I've just been glancing at rivlas just taking a peak at there data base to see what kind of stats they have. If anyone knows of any other kids that are local and up and coming lemme know, I love college football recruiting so I"m always interested in such things.

The TE will be playing in the SEC he has a strong lean toward LSU.

No, it's not early.
The majors are having Junior Days or have had them and have already started giving offers, with several committing. This is the trend now, recruit early and hope nobody jumps before signing day. Several years back, Cade Comeaux (I think) from Crowley or Notre Dame signed (or accepted an offer) as a sophomore.

Catching a WR with that size and speed would be awesome for this team. Hopefully the LSUA&M game this year will show that TE that UL is closer in talent to the evil empire and have him look closer at us!

Cade was the first to commit for the year 2000. He went to Nortre Dame and lives north of Rayne. He had a promising football career but had to quit for medical reasons. He will graduate in May.
