When Acadiana High Lady Rams' Courtney Hofland began playing soccer at the early age of three-years-old, she had one big dream.
And that dream was to play college soccer at a Division I-A program.

Through hard work, determination and dedication, Hofland's dream came true as she signed a national letter of intent with coach Scot Weiland and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.

"I'm really excited about this (opportunity)," Hofland said. "This is something that I've always wanted to do. I've always dream of playing for a Division I-A school, so I'm really happy."

Hofland, who drew interest from Mississippi State, Northwestern State, Kansas, Tulane, South Alabama, Kentucky, Tulsa and Centenary, only made visits with the Ragin Cajuns, Lady Demons and the Lady Jaguars.

"I enjoyed my visits at Northwestern and South Alabama," Hofland said. "It was a really good experience for me, but in the end I felt that UL was the best fit for me."

According to Lady Rams trainer Jan-Scott Richard, who is the son of AHS coach John Richard, the Ragin' Cajuns are getting a superb player in Hofland.
