It looks like Mitchell has to get better between the ears. He never got in the flow of the game and that is what the NBA is all about.

I agree. And, as someone pointed out above, he could lose the cocky play.

I want to say it was between 3-4 minutes left that we had the 10 point lead. This has been our story all year...Inconsistency. We will play well for spurts but equally poorly for similar spurts which never gets you anywhere. We were able to hold on last night thank goodness and we actually hit free throws but I agree, I was really hoping we'd put that game away and win by 10-12.

Of course you didn't. However, if you extrapolate his state out to the minutes he normally plays. (17 min to 34). He would have Had 22 points and 10 rebounds.

The guy is a lottery pick. He has been the SBC POW 3 straight times playing all different teams on the road and at home. We were very fortunate to get him in foul trouble. I don't think we will be that lucky in Denton.

How many unnoticeable players get double-teamed all night?

Never said he wasn't good. All I said was that I expected that super stud to dominate much of the game...and he wasn't even close. If he goes pro anytime soon, those dudes will make him realize he should have waited a bit longer.

And...we weren't "lucky" that he got into foul trouble. That was by design. Good job, Coach.

You don't get those foul calls on the road. He will play 30 minutes. If he goes pro anytime soon, he will be making millions of dollars and will do just fine.

he gains nothing by waiting and dominating the Sunbelt for another year.
