Was watching the NFL Network last night and the guys gave some props to Bentley. They have pretty good coverage of the activities going on this week from the Senior Bowl.

Coach referred to getting our brand out there with this exposure. Great exposure, but every reference to us is as Louisiana-Lafayette. Our "brand" must be Ragin Cajuns with little concern about the lack of reference to Louisiana. I sure wish the university would announce its branding priority. Are we doomed to be Louisiana-Lafayette?

In the big picture, the term "Louisiana" and the term "Ragin' Cajuns" mean the exact same thing.

The only difference is Ragin' Cajuns can be depluralised and applied to an individual.

As much as many don't like just using "Ragin Cajuns"... when our exposure is in the athletics arena, I think we should use "Ragin Cajuns" and "Louisiana Ragin Cajuns" over and over. I'm not sure we'll ever clear up the multiple references to the institution itself.

I see all but one of my references to Louisiana Lafayette were changed to Louisiana which distorted my message. Looks like my message was understood and responded to nonetheless.
