Wow, just 17 days away from the start of the season.
That sucks about Hamilton and Broussard. Taryn seems like she's been hurt the entire time she's been here, which is not good considering how much she could help. And I think this is the year the ladies could make a run. And what's wrong with Hamilton? Wasn't she the one that hurt her knee in the regionals last year? And if so, is that the injury that will cause her to miss this season?
Why would LSU be ranked ahead of us last year---notice the records of the two teams------Also notice that only 4 schools that are ranked in the entire country had less losses----Keep on Keeping on ladies!!!!
Should be irrelevant for ranking purposes.
That would be like saying if the entire NFL Saints squad was somehow inserted into the SBC 'intact' they would not be the best team in the country because they were in the SBC.
Who you 'will' play should have no bearing on who you are.
No matter how we finish we always start the next season below the neighbors. Just one of those things.
regarding the rankings, absolutely SOS, SBC and the conference and school RPI is what gets you noticed in the polls. Unfortunately we don't have the opportunity to beat great teams week in and week out. The polls are not so much how good you are but how good are the people you beat. The RPI is a mathematical comparison of all teams and when we don't get to play teams that beat other good teams regularly, we don't get the high rankings ourselves. In that regard, we are just at a disadvantage we can't control.
Every year, we go further than our rankings and every year we beat someone in a regional seeded higher than us.
I agree.
Once the regular season starts.
