This is my outside opinion, and if you read it Josh feel free to comment/correct me, but recruiting has always been a hazy and difficult subject with regards to newspaper writers and beat reporters doing stories on the matter. Lets be honest, they usually dont have the time nor nearly the info that the specialized sites do (Cajunredzone.com!) so when time comes to put a story about recruiting, most of the info is only partially correct.
They will use Scout or Rivals for info on offers, etc., which CajunT himself just made a great point yesterday about how that info is listed based mainly off of verbal offers, many of which arent applicable at this time of year. Also, its hard for him to know when UL has pulled offers or withdrawn interest in certain players so it comes off that we lost a recruit to this school, when in fact, we moved on to another prospect or had no interest or something else came up.
