Interstate Recognition (would you contribute to a UL Acomplishment Billboard )

As i was driving to Lake Charles the other day I noticed that the cowboys have a large billboard giving their program a little recognition. Why don't we show our program a little love by placing a billboard on the interstate. The one that we have in town is awsome, but i feel that it would GREAT if we had one that people driving down I-10 could see. I understand that billboards are not cheap, but i feel it would be well worth the money. There are many achievements that our sports programs have accomplished over the years. It would be fancy to give every motorist ,driving under 80 mph , a second or two to notice these accomplisments. GO CAJUNS

It is about 200 a month with a 3 month contract minimum.....at least that is how much it was about 5 or 6 years ago when i looked into it. But like anything else, it has to do with location. You can count me in on this if someone gets the info.

Here is the scoop,
I spoke with Carrol Hebert (sales rep. for Lamar Advertising) and she said she will give us a deal. Basically what she will do is give us the spot for free, we just need to pay for the vinyl sign. The sign costs for the large interstate signs are $3.50 a sq ft = $1350.00. The spot is donated by Lamar as a public service advertisement. The catch is that when another company wants the spot we choose, Lamar will move our sign to another available spot. If no spots are available at the time , we can choose to put it either on I-49 or I-90. Lamar has many different graphics to choose from or we can submit our own. I guess our next step would be to figure out a way to pay for this. I think that this is a great deal and we need to jump on it. GO CAJUNS!!!!!!!!

Plenty of Bil-board companies...only problem is, you spend all that money on the message, you wake up the next morning and its deleted?????
