It's playoff time for high school basketball in Louisiana.

Let's review how some of the the top seniors on Ron Briscoe's Southeast Basketball Report fared this past season.

Reserve Christian's Demond Carter had a great senior year. Selected to play in the prestigious McDonald's All-America game, he'll likely be named the Player of the Year in the state and has already committed to play for the Baylor Bears.

Northside's Perry Stevenson was consistent all season for the Vikings, who have qualified for Friday's Class 4A state quarterfinal round after defeating East Jefferson 47-34 Monday. Stevenson is one of the best shot-blockers I've ever seen, but still needs to work on his offensive skills. He's headed to Kentucky.

Peabody's 6-6 post player Rodney Jones is having a very good senior year. He has the potential to be a good player in college and has a great body, but his consistency has been questioned. He hasn't committed as of yet.

Damon Forest, 6-3 of Central High in Baton Rouge, has had a great season. Forest has shot the ball well from the perimeter and has his club in the second round of the playoffs. He has committed to the University of Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.

Carencro High's 6-6 LaRyan Gary is a tremendously talented player who wasn't able to fulfill his potential due to nagging knee and ankle injuries this season. He's committed to UL.
