Mostly for those of you in Lafayette. Did the LHS boys soccer team lose their appeal? What a terrible way to end the season if that happened.

Yep, they got hammered... Lots of rumors about what took place on the field last week....

Bottom line Lafayette High beat Jesuit... Apparently this has become one ____ of a heated rivalry.... LHS coach got booted...Found out the guy was an unauthorized participant... LHS forfeits.

Yeah, I had read the article on why they would forfeit, but also that they would appeal. Seems the wording was somewhat vague on assistant coaches qualifications (courses/majors in college), and that LHS would appeal. Guess they lost the appeal. Congrats to the Lady Lions though as they will represent at the Cajun soccer field.

This is a GREAT reason and time to get rid of the head of LHSAA,,, Tommy Henry. He wrote a "vague" rule concerning a coach attending college, then allowed it to stand, knowing that it was vague... because he wrote it "and knew what he was talking about."

This is not the first time this guy has done something so obviously stupid. The member schools need to make a change and get him out of there!

Oh... yeah... and I am not even from Lafayette Parish... so his ruling did not affect me or my kids at all!

I for one will not attend nor support another LHSAA sanctioned event until Tommy Henry is removed as dictator of high school athletics in the state of Louisiana. This man has ruined high sports in my book. The coach should be banned for life but anyway you cut it the LHS soccer team won 32 games on the field this year.
