I wonder if holding an opponent to 25% shooting from the field in a conference road game is some type of record. Rebounding margin also impressive. Nice to see Thompson have the kind og game we all hoped he would consistently have when we signed him. Doing that consistently is the next step for him. Payton did OK at point having to play so many minutes. Still I would like a point guard to have less turnovers and make more free throws. Nerves/confidence and being a pure freshman are the main reasons for these issues, not ability. Ark. State does not have much depth apparently. Maybe we can get a road sweep.

That is scary low, and great incentive for the UL D to keep it up.

My question is how much of the 25% shooting was due to good D and how much was due to UALR just being bad shooters? What's their average on the season so far?

In conference play, UALR was shooting 44 from the field and 40 percent from three.

Last night they were 25 percent overall and 2-17 from three.

They missed some open looks, but not enough to blame it on poor shooting.

They have three guys they depend on. Cajuns concentrated on them. They were 7-34 from the field.

Thanks Jay. Just listening to it on the radio sometimes makes it hard to determine if they were just missing open looks or were being covered well. Good info. Hopefully they can carry this play into tomorrow's game.
