Yep forgot about him, and you also have to expect that if he gets his grades back up, that Maurice Barksdale will be back on scholarship after missing this season due to grades and a broken wrist.Originally Posted by J-Town Cajun
And I'm not soo sure that Derek Gray will be back.
Don't hold your breath, if we haven't heard back by now, that's probably not a good thing.Originally Posted by Cajunsmike
You are right in that I forgot about Corey Bloom. That would put us at 13 if we signed someone or not. We have to sign a big man though. That tells me that it would not be surprising if one of the guys sitting out due to academics does not stick.Originally Posted by J-Town Cajun
According to that same source, Aubery Milson WAS that "big man". Of course with him only averaging 1.18 ppg in the Juco ranks and him not performing too well this year, I think we may be saying goodbye to him if another bigman comes our way.
Derek Gray will be back this year. He will play at UNO-semester will be over by then. Barksdale will graduate this year. His grades are not a problem.Originally Posted by Kal

I think he means that Gray will return to the Cajuns line-up for the game against UNO.Originally Posted by Kal
Thats what I understand also, his grades are in order now and will be elligible for UNO(our first conference game), and Millsap could get clearance soon by the Clearing house!Originally Posted by cajunlove
I think the NCAA should make the clearing house decide on a student/athlete before the season starts. If half or even a quarter of a season goes by this is not fair to the team and especially the player.

We were talking about Val during the game and said the same thing. Coach Lee said that Brian Hamilton was the heart and soul of the team; Val is filling that position very well. We also love David Dees, because of his steadying influence on the team. Dees makes the game look very easy and that will catch on with everyone else.Originally Posted by cajunlove

I made it out to my first basketball game this year last night and I was impressed with some things I saw. This team is young, but they kept their heads in the game. Besides a 3 minute run in the second half, UL played within 5-6 points.
The only person I was updet about was Adam James. He made a few costly errors. The rest of the team played fairly well. Hart is fun to watch. Dees is really smooth and Mouton is still the man.
I work a lot of nights, so it's really hard for me to get to the basketball games, but it was a treat. I think I get out to a good bit this year.
Another thing that I like about coach Lee, is he supports all sports at his school. I've seen him at baseball and football games and even a softball game. A true team player(coach).
