i spoke to a player last night at the girls game and they want to win as bad as anything so lets all get behind these guys. GEAUX CAJUNS
Looky here old dude, Jesse left a team with enough talent to get to the sweet sixteen. The fact that it did not is not the subject of this comment. Had we not had an injury to the big Aussie, and not lost a member to a dream about going pro we would have had a solid team last year. Robert and Cyprien had an opportunity to take two years of freshman. Both chose the same path as Jesse. So while I support our coach, I see no reason to bash our former coach. He left the program in good shape. Robert has now taken a path that I hope he can survive in his coaching profession. I am thinking he could have done better if he and Cyp had decided to bring in freshman that first and second year instead of so many now.

Yes they had the opportunity, but Lee joined so late his first year, he had no chance to recruit. And in his second year he brought in supposedly one of the best recruits in the area in Derek Gray, and we all see how he has turned out. This year was prolly one of the best recruiting jobs ever, he brought in about 7 of the most talented high school seniors in the state. Back when Lee was first hired, High School seniors didn't want to come to UL because of the reputation that Evans made of bringing in JUCO, and transfer players.

The biggest problem that is facing us right now is that we really don't have a dominate big man in the middle. Hopefully Wallace can turn into that, if not we need to sign one. We will have some amazing guards come in next year in Gradnigo and Daigle, so people just need to settle down, take the lumps this year, and look forward to the future.

I agree with you, but today, this season we need a point guard who can distribute and score. Too bad Barksdale came up injured.
