Once again you friggin idiot...compare these small regional Louisiana schools to small regional schools in the other state. You can't compare Georgia Institute of Technology to U.L.L or U.L.M. Auburn, Virginia Tech, USC (is a private school you retard) are large system flagships...I can tell you went to U.L.L. you know nothing. You can't compare a regional school to a system flagship. **BTW Yes Southwestern Louisiana and Louisiana-Lafayette means you are a regional school** _
By the way... I see you are from up north. Do you have a full set of teeth? Just wondering.

You keep buying our P&G Baton Rouge stuff too... I'm not trying to get you to stop that... but you stop going around stirring up trouble you little dweeb. We have something pretty special going on and we don't like our little surrogates like you running around creating issues. Everyone with half an operating brain cell knows that UL is the biggest economic engine in Lafayette and LSU is the biggest economic engine in Baton Rouge. Keep sending me that check and keep that Baton Rouge flag flying on your "ranch".

Do you realize how much crappier Baton Rouge would be if we didn't have all you little neophytes out there sending us your money!? _
GO tell this to all the local merchants who make two and three times as much money from selling LSU gear as compared to UL gear. This strategy of trying to make this a Laf-BR thing is silly. I guess if you can't win them (fans), you have to resort to intimidation & deception.

I think it's the first time a thread on this forum has ever diverged from its original intent.

I was born and live in Lafayette, Louisiana...so I'm not sure.

Hey...look this up in the dictionary it will have your picture and the LA@Lafayette logo right next to it...

So much of the state's attention, even from the legislature, is spent making sure that LSU is "protected" as some kind of flagship... primarily to protect the sports program. Again, that is why we DON'T have a university that is respected as are Ohio State, Texas, Tennessee, Michigan and so forth. An LSU degree is second rate... and always will be. _

This is just dumb and this thread is way off topic. As usual, LSU can't be brought up on this message board without ridicule & insults. I am sure LSU will get the blame for that too.

I don't have a problem with a business from this area selling LSU gear... or a person from here buying it. Both are free to do as they wish.

I DO have a problem, though, when some try to see I am suppose to "support my state university" financially or otherwise. Again, I have nothing to do with LSU. It is not my school.

I know, it happens on all the board. The worst is the dog days of summer when you really have to reach for material.

I guess that you did not get the line of our president as he refuted the regional school bit and correctly referred to Tech and UL as State schools---so the ULMs and the rest are in fact regional schools-----Just be happy for the time being that because of your identification you don't have to live up to the same APR standards as State schools!!!

Maybe if all you State fans would stay off this board and out of the discussions with your condescending, "know your place" crap it would stay on the original topic.

So a former teachers college is eligible but the second largest school in the state for the last 70 years isn't? ymml

"Intimidation and deception"? You mean I just scared or tricked someone back into the UL (Lafayette) camp? I'm damn good... but I'm not that good.

I'm pretty certain the sales of LSU and UL gear combined in Lafayette is not what keeps Lafayette commerce alive. Since you live in Lafayette it might be a good thing for you to study up on the economic significance UL has on that city. You can purchase everything LSU (Baton Rouge) sells in Lafayette all day long... and you can't make a dent in the magnitude UL has on the economic viability of Lafayette.

So yes... quite tremendously... UL belongs to Lafayette... and LSU belongs to Baton Rouge. We (Baton Rouge) are the ones getting rich off of the LSU proceeds. Please... please... keep it coming. Again, this city cannot survive without your donations. Please... please... keep them coming! Spread it around the ranch! We're thinking of building another habitat for Mike... send your money soon... we are about to have to give Les $18 mil just to keep him from ruining our great football program! Quick... send your money today!

Well if I'm not mistaken to be a flagship you must be the oldest university (preexisting the other universities), as well as the largest. So the only eligible school would be Northwestern if they gained 10,000 students.
