My friends were all begging for this call during the game and I have heard this argument several times since the game.

There is ansolutely NO WAY thta hit should have drawn a flag! It was a violent hit but it was totally legal! I am surprised how many hardcore football fans do not understand the helmet to helmet rule and what constitutes a defenseless reciever. It is a defenders job to hit a ball carrier hard enough to make him drop the ball. The helmet to helmet rule is in place to protect a guy while he is making a catch.

There are two possible reasons why we lost to the 49ers and they were not on the field that day.

    Sun, Oct 16 @Tampa Bay L26-20
    Sun, Oct 30 @St. Louis L31-21

Take care of business during the regular season and we play the 9ers at home and NYG at home on our way to another super bowl.

NO, NO we understand and we saw the call many times after a receiver took a couple of steps. Reality I think the proper call was made, I just think the "rule" is almost impossible to administer properly on the field. The refs are told to protect these guys and always lean towards throwing a flag not deserved vs missing one deserved. That is why I was hoping for a flag.

Ok I understand. Some of the guys I was watching the game with did not have such a level headed opinion about it as you CajunExpress.
