Thread: Walker Howard

  1. Default Re: UL coach on transfer QB Walker Howard: 'Everyone in Lafayette asks about Walker'

The GOAT says "Howard entered the portal on January 13 with a “do-not-contact” tag but quickly found his destination."

They don't get that he already had his destination lined up when he entered the transfer portal.

Of course that is what the GOAT will say. Can't throw shade at a local product.

Doesn't bother me, it is what it is.

Good luck to him. Hopefully he can finish up his degree at Ole Miss while he sits the bench.

It is imperative, with Lunch's injury status that we add some depth to this roster at QB. Beale worries me, as he has not shown what everyone said he was. I know we signed Coleman Carter who the coaches are high on, but I think an experienced guy from another roster would be huge right now.
I agree, we need another QB. But then again, we need a lot, including a new Head Coach. We will just be going through the motions for the foreseeable future. It's going to be brutal.

How many times this season: Sitting in the stands and you look at the fan next to you and say: What are we doing running that play right there at this time in the game?
The fan says I was wondering the same thing. OVer and and over.
I am sure all can remember multiple times in the games this year as I have.

You mean once Lunch became a starter, first down was a straight QB run usually to the strongside. Then with 3 games left in the season the play got moved to second down?

lol, "wondering why" is our athletic theme now.

The Walker Howard story at UL is a strange and unsatisfying one of almost peak optimism then the sobering realization of "oh yeah, that was always going to be too good to be true."

Made even more odd by going back to Ole Miss which he left to get a shot and was not good when he actually saw the field. It's weird.

The problem was between kiffen and Howard and WH dating LK daughter and breaking up with her from what I have heard.

That was not the issue. He was the 3rd best QB on that roster and still would have been behind Chambliss this year. I'm not saying there wasn't some strain there with he and Kiffin but he just didn't have an avenue to play there and I'm still curious as to what his path is now.
