Recommendations for Friday night dinner
Wife wants to try somewhere new for dinner tonight. Any new places out there in Lafayette that y’all are impressed with at the moment? Tomorrow will be the reliable French Press and Shucks but she wants to try a new place (to us)tonight . Thanks for all the help.

Ruffino’s, Social Table or Imonilli
You won’t go wrong with any.
If you go to Imonelli, try the seafood stuffed steak . . . Awesome

New to you, or new to everyone? Of the latter, I am not aware of any locations.

Re: Recommendations for Friday night dinner
I'm slumming it and just finished a shrimp poboy from Olde Tyme. Never disappoints. On a side note, today I used the least amount of napkins ever! I try and get better every visit. I swear it looks like a chimpanzee ate there when I'm done. Balls of napkins and crumbs everywhere!

Hey Jeweler, there is almost a 100% chance that I am the purest Broussard on this board . . .

Man, got addicted to Rachel’s for Thursday lunch there with friends. Hard habit to break, never had a bad meal there.

French Press is overrated if you ask me, and owner these days has become a jackass.
I tried it out a couple times before he became said jackass, so my opinion is the food only. Not bad, but for the price, better options in Lafayette.

Re: Recommendations for Friday night dinner
We love Steamboat Warehouse in Washington, about 30 miles north of Lafayette. The atmosphere is authentic, being a restored steamboat warehouse from the mid 1800s. The food is very good as well. My favorite is Seafood Au gratin. My wife and I have shared this dish and ordered an extra side salad and it was plenty for us. Prices are very reasonable there as well.
