The other two did not but in each instance one was a Broussard.

French Press is overrated if you ask me, and owner these days has become a jackass.
I tried it out a couple times before he became said jackass, so my opinion is the food only. Not bad, but for the price, better options in Lafayette.
Re: Recommendations for Friday night dinner
We love Steamboat Warehouse in Washington, about 30 miles north of Lafayette. The atmosphere is authentic, being a restored steamboat warehouse from the mid 1800s. The food is very good as well. My favorite is Seafood Au gratin. My wife and I have shared this dish and ordered an extra side salad and it was plenty for us. Prices are very reasonable there as well.

Haven't been in 40 years.
Must return soon.
Loved the atmosphere and history.

That is my grandparent makeup except no Hebert. I eat regularly at all those places except Shucks instead of Dupuy’s. Must be a Broussard thing.
Re: Recommendations for Friday night dinner
Rachel’s and Cajun Table outstanding additions. Lots of other good suggestions.
But if we’re talking semi-new, white table cloth and ridiculous food, Jane’s French Cuisine on University. About as authentic as it gets in Lafayette.
Call them because you’ll need a reservation.
