Black is the new tan.
UL sported a pewter tan in the late 1950's which was before they vowed never to go stupid again by calling a non school color, a school color.
Evidently if you can't keep traditions you can't keep vows.

Black has been a school color for as long as I can remember . . . in fact, it is the color of the words on my very proud of diploma . . .
There was never an ounce of black in the football uniform in my life time until Baldwin. There was no black in any athletic uniform through my college days for sure which ended in early 90s. I don't recall the years that baseball and basketball introduced black? I think both were after Baldwin.
I challenge anyone, on any official document put out by the university where they list our school colors, to find black listed as one?
