Most students support Bustle's ouster

The Ragin' Cajuns' football games are free to students, but most said they don't attend and a long string of losses are part of the reason. Freshman Austin Payne said he went to three games this year but then just stopped showing up. "It would be nice to ...

William J. you do not need 7 wins to be considered for a bowl.
Just six, Bustle never got past that however even though he was handed an extra game (in his 5th- 9th years) to get it done.

After reading the article, it is obvious that most students are not in touch with the football program. More importantly, neither is the writer.

I may not be correct, but I think this is possibly the worst article ever published in the Daily Advertiser. The writer is as ignorant as the kids he interviewed. Embarrassing.

And, the university is not in touch with the students.
Re: Most students support Bustle's ouster
This all starts (and fails) with student orientation.
Follow the Utah model.
Re: Most students support Bustle's ouster
To me, the title of the article makes it irrelevant. What's done is done. Bustle is gone. It doesn't matter what any of us think. It's time to move on and get better. This is a BS article, by a BS media outlit IMHO.

The flies asked the cattle if the rooster knows how to satisfy the chickens. What answer did we expect?

Turbine, I agree with you. Aside from scheduling my classes, the orientation process was a complete waste of my time.
This is the second time I've seen you mention the Utah model. Could you elaborate, please?

After attending all home games for the past four years... its painfully obvious that we do not have student support. Its a shame that they get in for free and won't show up.

The articles I have read say they are sold on Utah Athletics from Day One. UL does have a nice link to free games on the "current students" page but nothing on the prospective.

Re: Most students support Bustle's ouster
I'm not saying this is a great article (I did lodge the first complaint) but and however. . .
I think an article like this should run after every game and UL event. So what if it exposes some ignorance.
UL Athletics is first and foremost for the student body, and I would like to see the historical fingerprint as time goes by.
