Keep an eye on Luke Aubrey this year, he would be a great WR pickup by the Cajuns.
I watched him last season play for Teurlings as a junior. He catches every pass thrown his way.

Does anyone know if Bustle and Krewe are recruiting him?
Just found this, don't recall it being mentioned.

Where did he sign? I don't recall seeing it anywhere? Was he a junior or senior this past year?
This past season he was a senior. He didn't committ anywhere, UL has invited him to walk on here. I'm certainly no fan of Teurlings, being from Abbeville and all, but I think Aubrey brings that special "it" to the table and if he hangs on with the team, could be a special, clutch kind of player for us.
You are considered a questionable Cajun Fan too when you wear that LSU cap.Quote:

:D
<i>Thinking back...</i> There is no way Abbeville didn't score those touchdowns at the end.Quote:

Did you see M. Vick stretch out against the Panthers? Your knee can't touch when youare fully extended.
I was in the back of the endzone on that "failed" 2-pt conversion that won the game for Tuerlings. Ray Boudreaux was never down. And there was the play, I think, the year before at Teurlings when (was it Aubrey maybe?) found out, to no fault of his own, that according to the referees, the endzone in fact extended all the way to the THREE yard line. Only Jerry Rice had ever scored a TD from that far away before.
But, it's all in the past and if those same kids that handed it to Abbeville for a couple years when we were good want to come to UL and help us whoop up on North Texas and that gang, I've got no problems and the hatch is buried!
as I understand it, we still have two scholarships to hand out. With size like that at WR, why not give it a try!
Please, the RB's knee was down. I was there, saw the replay and everything, his knee was down. You Wildcat fans never quit crying about it.
GEAUX REBELS!
Watching the slo-mo of the M Vick victory lunge against another Teurlings alum brought those memories back.Quote:

I read else where that Luke doesn't play at full speed... All I know is Luke is a better reciever at half speed than almost any highschooler I have ever seen.
Yea, I posted that on Delphi. A group of Teurlings parents and myself had a good talk about Luke over the weekend. We were all in agreement that if he plays hard on every play, he will do great. But if he slacks off, Coach Bustle will have him off the team in a heart beat.Quote:

Hurray Luke Aubrey is listed on the <b>200</b><s>3</s><b>5</b> RAGIN’ CAJUNS ALPHABETICAL FOOTBALL ROSTER

I wish him all the success possible but let's get a grip here. I know he's a local, but you re telling me we need a receiver that wasn't offered by anyone, is slow & doesn't work hard? Something just doesn't make sense here. Let's hope he can be coached up.
