5 minutes into the game, NMSU 8 UL 7. Looks like there is no attendance. If there are 1,500 I'd be very surprised. That is horrible for the first game. What excuses are there for this one?

There are a lot more than 1500 here. Quit being a damn pessimist.

Maybe because we haven't won in 4 years. And people stopped going. We are going to have to win to get them back.

We cut in a little, and they push it back out. Our inside depth is glaring, but we are playing hard.

Having Ramone and JJ out hurts, because they press a good bit and depth would be helpful.

Missing Raymone appears to be just killer. Randell has breakdowns when he plays a lot of minutes. Like anyone would.

Decent 1st half. Definitely playing better basketball than in prior seasons. The NMSU size advantage in the paint is definitely showing.

Well it's not clean, but they're playing hard. Every possession.
Especially on defense. It certainly FEELS like a new culture of Ragin' CAjun basketball. I, for one, am very excited.

42-34 NMSU at the half. Amazingly, the Cajuns are holding their own on the boards. Too many turnovers...and Gillenwater...are killing them.
