There were some GREAT dunks tonight. Dewayne Mitchell was playing lights out, and nobody was going to stop him on the way to the rim. Great assists, also, as mentioned with the deep snap dunk.
For everyone that misssed it.
It was off the chain.
Desribe the "Deep Snap Dunk"!!! .~.
does anybody have video of the deep snap dunk???
I wasn't there, but from what I read, it was a situation where Brad Boyd picked up a loose ball with his back to the goal and LITERALLY deep-snapped the ball to Dwayne Mitchell breaking for the basket for a monster dunk AND a foul resulting in a 3-point play!!! 1,000+ points AND an awesome assist!!! WAY TO GEAUX BRAD!!!!!!!! .~. .~.Quote:

If I remember right...
Boyd had received a pass and kinda bobbled it and had to turn around. He was Mitchel and flicked it to him. Mitchel jumped garbed the ball and slammed it home. Something outa the harlem globetrotters.
Man! I wish I had been there. It sounds like it would have to make some "Plays of the Week" lists if it had been on national TV. I will be there Saturday to see them whoop up on Denver.
Without a doubt it would have been SportsCenter's #1 on its Top Ten. It was incredible! But I was most impressed with the "pump fake in mid-air" dunk. I almost fell over the 2nd level balcony I was jumping up around so much on that one! Props to Dwayne! He definitely lived up to Jesse's "high flyer" comment at the beginning of the season.
I hope we get some action like that tonight. .~.
If we have a "Dunk of the Year" video, we must have an "Assist of the Year" video as well. It has to be Boyd's "through the legs pass" to Mitchel leading to his dunk against No. Texas on February 5th.
Hope you continue working your miracles and get us this one.

No play was quite like this one. This is what watching UL play basketball all year was like FUN FUN FUN.
Plays like this are really digging deep holes for the competition, ACE of SPADE
They showed the through the leg assist from Brad on The Jessie Evans Show Monday night. It was crazy!!!! After Mitchell followed through everybody went crazy! I finally got to see what everybody's been talking about. I hate that I missed it. The excitement in that place when those guys are playing like they're playing is crazy! Those guys deserve every bit of it. I am loving them right now.
That still ranks as one of the greatest basketball plays I have ever seen.
Great work Turbine
I agree. Someone needs to send video of that play to ESPN to be included in their Espy nominations. I hadn't seen the whole play before now. That was amazing!Quote:

In my opinion Brad Boyd's heads up play (I mean head down) is what made it happen. You just don't have time to think about things like that. It has to come instinctively; it certainly can't be coached.

Man, I remember that game so good. It was the best game I have ever seen the cajuns play. The amount of dunks in that game was sick.
God I miss Mitchell!
Brad Boyd made that play geaux he was awesome.
D Mitch was a beast.
No doubt, Brad was the man. Those were the days, or the days when Grider, and Allen were bombing 3's. Have a feelling those days are long gone. Hopefully I am wrong.
Does anybody have this on video or a link? Please!
