Cajuns are opening a six-game homestand that will continue on into Easter Weekend with the April 17-19 South Alabama series.
2nd inning, our player on first and second no body out.
Tried to steal 3rd called out.
Should have 1 run that inning.
No clutch hitting. Both pitchers doing their jobs. Good defense. Just can’t get timely hits. 0-0 in seventh.
Walks are bad things. Down 1-0
We’ve left five runners on third. Nuff said. One out bottom ninth. None on. Let’s see.
We hand a weak JMU team a win. Poor decision to try to steal third early in game takes away best opportunity to get a run. Rest of game predictable lack of clutch hitting. Tough lose for Wheeler. She pitched well.
It’s Masters weekend. Take a break from diamond sports for a bit. You’ll feel better, even if you are not a golfer.
We are mid season, we should have improved our hitting.
Another tough loss. Just can't get a timely hit with runners on.

Just like a hit-and-run play, it looked to me like this was a bunt and run and I believe the batter was Lanny and she missed the bunt. Regardless, it was a bad play. We had our opportunities just did not capitalize.
Without going back and watching the replay I believe it was a fake bunt and double steal with the attempt to draw the third baseman in and hope Cissy could out run the SS to the 3B bag. Regardless it wasn't done with the correct runner and shouldn't be done with a LH batter in the box giving the C a clear throwing path.Quote:

So very depressing that we have sunk this low. I understand the situation Aly was given, but man, we are not improving even a little bit.
We have actually regressed, we have many serious issues with the program right now. Don't look now, but it's a very real possibility we may not even make the conference tournament. Let that sink in. Everything needs to be reevaluated this post season, top to bottom.

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team had its seventh-inning rally stopped just short and James Madison held on for an 8-7 win in Game 2 of a Sun Belt Conference series held on Saturday, April 12 at Lamson Park.
We're tied with JMU at 5-9, but they have the tiebreaker. We're in 11th place in conference.
