Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
Well looks like they are trying to kill this club. Because why would I get this if my child only gets entrance into 2 football games. Still gonna have to buy others so might as well get a season ticket. Loved this option because it was affordable for my growing family. Now I’m looking at even more added cost to bring the entire family. Getting harder and harder to be a fan.

At least the cost is going down.

A $15-$20 decrease that could cost people hundreds. Gotta love it.

Re: Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
Still worth it to me, will just be four extra FB digital tickets to hand off to a friend/extended relative.
If they are keeping the family five pack of 5 GA tickets for a bundled discount, this move makes sense to me as they probably want to push families towards that deal. If they are neutering YRCC and not offering the family five pack for 2025, then I don't know what they're doing lol.

Re: Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
It’s my understanding the family five packs are going away.

Re: Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
What’s the point of this? If we were selling out games (in any sport) then it makes sense. Available seats would be at a premium.
As we all know….thats far from the case.
Go USL!

Re: Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
Could someone buy more than one membership per child

Re: Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
I don't want to complain because UL has to make their money, but I'm quickly getting priced out (of what I'm willing to pay). Especially with home (homeowners + flood) & auto insurance eating into discretionary income. Not to mention cost of everything.
Ah well, I'll still make some games.

Re: Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
I can tell you me and the wife had a serious discussion about this upcoming season being our last one buying season tickets and donating to RCAF. I have been a season ticket holder and donor since I graduated in 2012. I have had to travel 2-4 hours to Lafayette for every home game since 2014. Doing that with children, animals, and pregnant wife. But it just keeps getting more difficult to financially support an organization that continually is trying to price out the life blood of this fan base. Do we have such a demand that this change was needed? We all know the answer to that. What was once a lively Cajun Field, even in the lean years, is becoming a barren wasteland. Expect even more as you push out families. I’ll pick and choose the games I attend and the rest I’ll enjoy from the comfort of my home where I don’t miss a quarter of the game waiting for a water bottle that may all be out by halftime.

.
Had 2 YRCC passes for a couple of years really just for baseball, softball and basketball. We already had season tickets for the kids in football.
The voucher limit is actually way more than we ever used in the past. That's us, though. Unlimited had a good ring to it and I'm sure people used it in place for some season tickets. At least GA tickets.

I am verys similar to you. Been season ticket holder, Rcaf, two tailgate spots since graduating in 2014. Currently have a 2 year old who was going to use YRC card for all football games and a another baby coming in June. Not sure I can justify all that while living two hours away and now under contract for a house that is a good bit more than current mortgage.

I sure hope not. I have been buying the family 5 pack for 6 years now and wanted to continue to be a season ticket holder.

Re: Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
I foresee more admin blaming the fans and community for not showing up. I wouldn't mind being priced out if the stands were full for all sports, but they aren't.

Re: Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
We have also discussed not renewing but it looks like we will hang in at least one more year.
We are priced out of our seats and my couch is much better seating than the east side.

Re: Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
Our older fans have kept this program afloat for a long time now. It just takes one look around at our sporting events (particularly football and basketball) to realize we have an age problem. The younger generations are heavily underrepresented. Some of this is societal trends. Less interest in sports for some. Travel ball occupying the majority of free time for others who still have an interest in sports. A big piece though is a failure to connect by the university to several decades worth of graduates and shoulda, coulda, woulda been supporters. That failure has been on display the last 10 years or so more than ever. The basic costs of attendance have risen while the atmosphere, concessions, and overall experience have tanked in quality. What’s one more straw on the camel’s back though, right?

I could be totally wrong but did you buy them last year? I didnt see that as an option when I was looking to renew my football tickets. I had been buying the family 5 pack since at least 2010 or so.

Re: Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
I just wish they’d up the price of the YRCC membership and keep the same benefits. Even doubling the price would still be a good value for families who attend a lot of games.
If I have to buy a season ticket so my kids can go to all the games, what is the point of even getting YRCC?

Re: Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
Absolutely amazing. Attendance is struggling across the board -- even in the vaunted diamond sports we're drawing 100s and not 1000s of actual butts in seats -- and these morons decide to axe several more ways for fans to save money.
Kids club - gone
Family 5 pack - gone
$2 nattys - gone
At this point I hope these geniuses end up selling 20% of capacity in season tickets across all sports, and those fans are smart enough to just split them with friends and family

Yes they were available last year. I Bought a family 5 pack. They put all the family 5 pack season tickets on east side closer to the visiting section near the hill. It was and always has been a great family deal.
I am curious where they will put the family 5 packs this year. Only difference in 2024 was they assigned your seats randomly instead in the past we could pick in section A or G
Either way. It’s not like we sell out games so if wanted to we just moved around and Sat where we wanted

Re: Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
What is the student ID policy now for games, and how about for softball?

Re: Changes Coming to Young Ragin Cajuns Club
Why is YRCC changing?
The demand for season tickets across Louisiana Athletics is on the rise:
· Softball - Reserved seating is sold out along with several hundred GA season tickets.
· Baseball - All premium seating, supreme rice, and chairback seating is sold out with limited bleacher back seats remaining on a single game basis.
· Football - The demand for tickets in Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium is anticipated to increase.
With these growing demands, Louisiana Athletics is committed to providing all YRCC members and ticket buyers with a positive game experience. The new benefits will ensure every ticket request can be accommodated.
The above was emailed out to current members. There are zero holes in this logic, and I can’t understand why the community isn’t lining up in the street to support UL athletics. Although if you listen to these geniuses instead of using your eyes, apparently the community already is.

Zero holes in the logic but its not based on reality.
While there are zero holes in the logic, it ignores the historical aspect that has only grown.
There are big holes in the stands where the YRCC members can enhance unused voids.... Which is what I think you are saying.
