Should UL get rid of Sodexo?

What is the overall benefit to sports (percentage of profit) with our contract with Sodexo?

How long is the contract with Sodexo?

Should we get rid of it, and if we did, what would be a good alternative?

Personally, I know nothing about this, but should we enter direct negotiations with restaurants and vendors around Acadiana to enhance the overall gameday experience by providing food?

Also, didn't we have Waitr deliver food to seats a few years back? Why did we discontinue it? Was it because of the internet connection?

Aren't the new stadium renovations supposed to include WiFi, so we could bring it back? I thought that was the reason it was discontinued?

If i had to guess, perhaps Waitr going belly up had something to do with this?

Yeah but Waitr was a local company so the access to negotiate the terms of a deal was a lot easier than trying to deal with Doordash or Ubereats

Can RP members volunteer and do all the concessions

Yes. Concessions leave much to be desired. Appreciate Vic's peanuts... but I miss the local vendors... Meat pie guy (Acadian Slice Pies). I guess they couldn't agree on terms this year or he decided it wasn't worth it. Deano's pizza. And from a while back the Philly cheesesteak guy. We can do better.

The local vendors were what was so good about concessions at the Tigue. Great quality and fair pricing

Now not so much of either .....

Those cheese steaks were the GOAT concessions item at the Tigue . It lasted what 2-3 years?

And before that the guys that had the fried seafood plates was pretty damn amazing for ballpark food

Now there's literally nothing Im gonna waste money on at any of the concession stands. Overpriced ____ty beer included.
Excessive profit margins on significantly lower sales- it's working great at the Cajundome ..... Whatever

Here's a local vendor that is literally across the street from the athletic complex that is saying they tried reaching out to UL athletics and didn't get any interest so now they're at all LSU of BR athletic events . Food for thought

They would have drink specials and UL TV Games on, other than that, not much. Did they really reach out or is that an assumption.

There were previous comments from them about reaching out to UL and not getting any interest..... It may have been deleted . I 100% saw it because someone asked them about it specifically in comments


I've never been to this place (because it doesn't fit my nutritional preferences), but they previously had Elijah "Bill" Davis and Lunch in multiple social media ads

The owner is from the Lutcher area so he is making connectioms with guys from his region

I heard the problem is Sodexo? They dont allow any outside vendors? Well if thats the case just scrap it altogether!

I agree 100%. Just saw their social media posts the other day about LSU athletic events and it seemed very relevant to this thread .

Whatever the reason is for our lack of local vendors, that needs to be figured out. After seeing what has happened with the Cajundome game day experience, Admins- please Don't F up the Tigue
