I will say one observation… unless we find pitching it will be a long season…. This is the worst pitching staff we have had in a very long time… hate to see this program go down like this because of NIL. I think we have the players to compete but not the pitching staff.

Relax. This team isn’t struggling b/c of NIL. It’s b/c Coach Habetz had to put a team together in July long after the portal had closed and all but 2-3 starters left, including their #1 and 2 arms. No program in the country recovers from that year 1.Quote:

Getting smoke in your own tournament is never a good thing, regardless of circumstances.
Never been a big softball guy although I watch and support as much as I can. For the first time in as long as I can remember we just don’t look the part. And it wasn’t just tonight. We didn’t look the part last night against seton hall either. Hopefully Habetz gets things rolling soon.Quote:

Look at Tex Tech. Lost to Miss St in extra innings. Lineup looked like our lineup last season with their million dollar pitcher. Interesting.
