I'll take a wild guess here and bet no one at LSU was asking for this. The amount of money is much to do about nothing but the blowback will be large.
However a couple of politicians strut around like peacocks thinking how great they are. Just reference the "live Tiger" at the game basically ordered by the governor.
TSAB has plenty of issues to gripe about but I seriously doubt they had a hand in this. Bigger fish to fry.
