Re: Louisiana Hosts UT Dallas on Thursday Night
Are they like a John Melvin type school?

No, UT Dallas is actually a real university that recently moved up to D2 from D3.

UT-D actually has VERY good academics, though best if you target what you’re going for. Good business school. Good engineering program.
So nothing like JMU-Crowley.
I didn’t realize they just moved from D3 to D2. So I guess now they do actual athletic scholarships.

UTD 32
Louisiana 34
Halftime

Re: Louisiana Hosts UT Dallas on Thursday Night
UT Dallas shoots better, moves without the ball better, plays under control better, and block out better than the Cajuns. Cajuns will win eventually on athleticism alone. Maybe.

iirc, UT-D started as a graduate school for employees of Texas Instruments. Was really good for Business and engineering. They got too big and TI couldn't handle the growth so they donated the school to the UT system. Still shouldn't be losing to them

Only up by 2 against a D3 call up lmao

Re: Louisiana Hosts UT Dallas on Thursday Night
This may be an extreme take, but I don’t think we are good…

Re: Louisiana Hosts UT Dallas on Thursday Night
Blow out now. Took a while to get going. Gonna lose a lot of game if they start every game like this. Mcneese gonna blow us out. You know Prien Lake Joe gonna have a career night.

Re: Louisiana Hosts UT Dallas on Thursday Night
Defense has tightened up. Leading to lay ups. UT shooting went cold as well. May not have legs left. It is their first game.

Re: Louisiana Hosts UT Dallas on Thursday Night
Crowd looks a bit light. No one go up for UT Dallas?

Re: Louisiana Hosts UT Dallas on Thursday Night
I really hoped we’d be better at 3s.

I subject myself to Cajuns basketball, but the non-D1s are where I draw the line.

Exhibition game for UTD
A 75% resume builder for UL.
Unless both teams are counting it as a regular season game, I don't see why the NCAA allows it to count.
