Nominate Bob Marlin's Biggest Win
Has Bob Marlin in his 14 years here ever beat a top 25 team?

Bob has done a lot for this program and some of you are not grateful! You guys will miss him when he is gone!

Georgia State in the conference finals in 2014. The get the nod because they were a better team than....
South Alabama in the conference finals in 2023.
La Tech 2014. They won the CUSA regular season and advanced deep into the NIT.
WKU in the 2014 conference tournament. Had to win that to get to the finals.
Iowa in 2017. The Hawkeyes went 14-19 overall and finished 12 out of 13 in the B10. Only "p5" win, though.

I know this is sarcasm, but I’ll miss the excuses that for sure. Gave me tons of comic relief and made proud of Bobby Big Fish’s deadpanned humor.

According to the UL media guide, CBM has one less than CJE.

Are we going to miss his wife lashing out at Cajuns fans on social media?

Re: Nominate Bob Marlin's Biggest Win
Wins are Measured vs the big boyz.
1 P5 win in 14 yrs against 14-19 Iowa is the best. If I recall correctly it was a neutral court win somewhere in the Caribbean. At the time, season was just getting started so it felt big time.....we didn't yet know Iowa sucked.
Also.....There was a Tulane win in New Orleans that had me fired up.

Re: Nominate Bob Marlin's Biggest Win
Bob Marlin’s biggest win…he is still coach at UL. And living rent free in a lot of minds.
Sometimes silence is golden. No change is coming apparently. Complaining only keeps CBM’s name out there and has zero impact. Otherwise, with the dwindling attendance numbers, who’s talking?
I forgot Hatfield’s tenure. He had zero NCAA appearances, but he righted the sunken ship and went to Moo State.

No need to be mcCOY about it.

Re: Nominate Bob Marlin's Biggest Win
There has to be a big win in order to nominate one.
-
Re: Nominate Bob Marlin's Biggest Win
Is this a trick question ?

The answer to that is NEVER.

Re: Nominate Bob Marlin's Biggest Win
Yeah, but he earned that extension.
*hard eye roll

You may not like the term "earned". However the school was bound to grant at least one year due to the contract terms.

Re: Nominate Bob Marlin's Biggest Win
And that extension cost the University another couple thousand fans.

Re: Nominate Bob Marlin's Biggest Win
Don’t worry, none of this matters. Dartmouth screwed the pooch for everyone. Unionization coming. The question now is survival. These kids, yes kids, want to play big boy games. There will be a cost in the end. PEL grant issues and taxes quickly come to mind. Even today, you know there are players that took major NIL and overlooked their PEL grants becoming fraudulent.

Don’t worry, Ponchatula might hang a 100 on them. 96 ppg average in 2 playoff games.
Da berry, someone inform them yellowjackets don’t live in hives. Right up there with the Cro Dome.

He should not have been extended previously. The fact he was still here is the problem. I honestly don't know how anyone still thinks Bob is the best guy for this job.

Yeah, those Louisiana College wins really speak volumes...

Yeah, Cajuns won the last 25. All coaches feasted on LC since 1963.

Re: Nominate Bob Marlin's Biggest Win
When he sometimes beats ULM in their "Super Bowl"?
