Willhe who? And who really cares as long as Fritz is outta here
Lamar Morgan
Who gives a ____, Boom?!
(Respectfully, sir.)
That's interesting... didn't Fritz give a big talk after last season about his commitment to staying at Tulane? And that was after a big bowl upset. Interesting that he would leave now, instead of last year when his star was so high. Wonder if there's more to that story.
And you're right, that gives us a definite recruiting advantage.
Somebody offers you "three or four more years of this BS" and you can retire with $20 million in the bank... hard to pass up
Slade Nagle acting HC for weenies.
That's just not accurate. QB or not didn't factor into this. He was very very closed to going to GA Tech last year and this year the Tulane president did not hire the AD Fritz wanted so he is leaving. And for a big bump in pay and to a team now in the Big 12 that has no big dog anymore. Fertitta is pumping a lot of money into that program.
NOLA TP says Troys and Toledos coach are "high on the list" to replace Willie
Some believe going from Troy to Tulane is a lateral move. Football wise that may be true. However, Tulane has a lot of wealthy alumni and they can pay more than Troy. At this stage, the difference between the American and Sun Belt continues to shrink. Perception wise, American is still viewed as a higher level league. Results on the field show that is not necessarily correct.
Tulane got NIL $$$. Ask Kam Pedescleaux.
