What's Your Favorite Upper Deck Memory?
The site of my first season tickets. Section FF ROW6 seats 1~2. We'd bring our newborn with us. Having no seat for him he would just get passed around the whole section. All the mamas had to hold him.
Another thing I'll always remember is catching a flying roast beef poboy from the press box during a game delay. Had it for lunch later that week. It was pretty good.

First year of season tickets in UF was the year we beat A&M. 1996 -2023. I have missed 2 home game in that period.

Re: What's Your Favorite Upper Deck Memory?
Last time I was in UD was that mid week Coastal when they were ranked high. My brother was with me and he hadn't been to CF in a long time so it made it a great game. Those mullets played a cleaner game and they straight up had us.

Re: What's Your Favorite Upper Deck Memory?
Climbing to the top to take a picture of a VERY FULL tailgating lot in the middle of a losing season and realizing how out of shape I was.

Re: What's Your Favorite Upper Deck Memory?
I was a Boy Scout in ‘71 and we were tasked with escorting people to their seats for the first game.
Honorable mention: the last second win vs Kansas State.
My middle years were spent in the student section 1975-82. After that sections B and C for about 20 years. Then back upstairs.

Re: What's Your Favorite Upper Deck Memory?
Watching Cajun fans celebrate a championship in what was suppose to be the last game for the upper deck a few years ago. No championship on the line tomorrow.

Re: What's Your Favorite Upper Deck Memory?
Best kept secret of the upper deck was the short concession and beer lines all the time. While everyone _____ed and moaned about the lower bowl lines: all they had to do was walk up the ramp and get their concessions and beer and walk back down. I always thought the moaning was hilarious ! Had season tickets up there for years!

Sitting in upper deck for the A&M game in ‘96 next to Dr Garber, my metallurgy teacher. When the game ended and we rushed the field tearing down the goal post and walking it out, he turned to me and said “This is Midevil!”

Yeah. What a bunch of idiots. Expecting to be able to get concessions in a decent time near their section. Foolish.

Re: What's Your Favorite Upper Deck Memory?
Early 90’s game against tech. We were pretty terrible. Tied at 14 and tech misses field goal with no time left. Game ends in a tie. I’m not sure I had ever been so happy in my life. I think I was just glad we didn’t lose again. Me and my dad ran down the ramps happier than pigs in ____.

The good news is there should be no complaining tomorrow. With 5k people, those lines are gonna fly!

Re: What's Your Favorite Upper Deck Memory?
I think the first time and only time I watched a game up there was against Tulane in probably 97’. I was in 6th grade and a friend of mine’s mom was a USL fan so she brought us. All I remember is the Tulane cheerleaders running with the flags the whole game because they scored so much.
I’ve been to countless games since then but never been back up there to actually sit and watch.

That was 2 weeks after losing to DII North Alabama. Tulane won that game 56-0.
Talk about the lowest of lows in our program’s history.

After we won the Sunbelt championship game.. I thought this is the best we will ever get and thinking to myself "enjoy this". It was good while it lasted.
First row fifty yard line. My last game will be today.

That’s my #1 memory in the Upper Deck. The A$M game. I missed 1 full season when my daughter was killed and maybe 3 others in that time frame

Re: What's Your Favorite Upper Deck Memory?
To be honest before we moved down to Section A when I had my GA Season tickets in the upper deck it was really just being able to sit anywhere I wanted with a great view. You can really see the plays develop from the upper deck compared to the lower bowl. You can see things before they happen. Our upper deck is more like a second level compared to the huge P5 stadiums. The P5's upper deck/nose bleed you can't see anything and it sucks. Our upper deck was good views/seating.

I am so sorry to hear that you lost a daughter. Had to be devastating.

Re: What's Your Favorite Upper Deck Memory?
Being able to see the downtown skyline. Also a time that this drunk woman started yelling at someone for wearing the purple and gold, shouting that “Baton Rouge is 50 miles that way (pointing) - this is U L!!” Y’all I was in stitches.

Re: What's Your Favorite Upper Deck Memory?
I don't have a favorite, but I have a really bad memory. That would be watching ASU play the New Orleans bowl there in freezing weather.
