If you really think about it, that's no hyperbole. The hot wheels logo, Cayenne, and the early 00's push with the pepper...
It wasn't that long ago that you'd routinely see the Wal-Marts and other retailers having hot wheel yellow and red clothing on their racks. Easy to see why those weren't flying off the racks. Who the hell greenlit that?

Go check out the Vintage collection. Seeing this stuff in store changes your entire perception of U F'n L. It's a gamechanger.

Hell our own state changed our custom plates to the flaming fleur de lis just a couple years ago

The current license plate for UL is simply childish. Looks like it belongs on a Power Wheels vehicle for 5 year olds. Wait..... it may actually be! (Hot Wheels logo)
Old one said UL Ragin' Cajuns and the FDL. Simple. Clean. Collegiate.

Re: Old school Cajuns Football swag
I elected to keep my old UL Ragin’ Cajuns with the FDL. I like it so much better!

Re: Old school Cajuns Football swag
I have mine too
Paint chipping off (hoping that helps avoid traffic cam tkts :))

Re: Old school Cajuns Football swag
UL has squared up and connected with brass nuckles on this throwback Cajuns gear. I bash UL constantly about this ridiculous agenda of not giving the Alum, the Citizen, the Cajuns fan what we want. If you haven't gone check this gear out yet, go today, order soon if you're not in Cajun Country.
The Cajuns script license plate was of course already sold out at the one location I've visited. This gear is first class. Never did I think our great University could make this happen.
They've made it happen.

But going to the same mascot as LaTech is awesome how?

Re: Old school Cajuns Football swag
It's only throwback gear. But, man is it cool to see us look like a proper FBS Program.

Because we were the Bulldogs until 1973. In 74' the bulldog name was dropped and replaced with Ragin Cajuns.

It was popular at the time (1921). The number of schools that jumped on the bulldog bandwagon are in the teens.
Same thing with the renaming of Vermionville to Lafayette, everyone was doing it at the time. Use of the Bulldog and the renaming to Lafayette were "Me Too" movements.

UL has too much of an obsession with other universities. Who cares if another school has your mascot. Quit being so self-conscious. Drop the "we need to be totally unique" attitude. Just embrace what you've got and be yourself.

Seems the Bulldog breed was a French Bulldog, as opposed to an English Bulldog...Gee 1,2,3,4 were the names....at least that's what I recall...

Named such after Coach "Gee" who came over from LSU and was a fan favorite.

Re: Old school Cajuns Football swag
The LaTech programmed response is unbelievable.
Who gives a flyin' .... what's going on in Rustin. Rustin!
