I will say also. Coach said this week that there were so many transfers on NWST defense that they weren’t sure how they would attack us. Could have causes some blocking issues. I noticed a lot of unblocked defenders on the ends, more than missed blocks.
All I know is WestUCajun and his bride will be making this trip.

I plan on watching the odu va tech game sometime early this week. See what we’re dealing with. From what I read preseason, ODU front 7 is smaller than NWST.
ODU's strength is their run defense. VT won by 19, but ODU was -3 in turnovers for the game. VT only rushed for 109 yards on 43 carries. Jason Henderson is the preseason DPOY in the Sun Belt. VT did throw for 259 on 25 attempts.
Unless there are turnovers which skew things, I'm not looking for much of a high scoring game here.
And we will not win this game with a performance like Saturday.
Yeah, there are plenty of games we will not win with similar performance as this past weekend.

Pass protection and a lot less dropped passes would go a long way for this team to be successful.
Who are the other 2 we will win with Saturdays performance? What I thought would be 2 of the easier wins in the West (ULM and TXST) showed that is no longer the case. I think if we played like we did on Saturday, we won't win another game on the schedule.Quote:

Remember that defense wins championships… this D-fence might be the best we have ever had here…. They are fast and they bring the boom. ODU will be a grinding game, but I will remind everyone of 2021 season that complained about the offense and said we won’t win games playing like that, well we won 13.
