What is going on? This coaching staff can not keep his team intact. Now they are leaving for peer schools.

I was actually thinking it shows we’re recruiting the right kids..

Re: Second soccer international to leave the Cajuns for WAC Champion
And some think nobody is coming after a young softball team in a week or so.

Stop recruiting international players. We have elite girl soccer talent in Lafayette and BR. Area high schools are constantly ranking in the top 10 nationally. And the UL coach isn’t interested.

Who said that nobody would?

Which area high schools? I only know of one.
Re: Second soccer international to leave the Cajuns for WAC Champion
STM and St Joe in BR. Offer the best player or two on each team every year.

Do you know there are three seperate high school seasons played nationally, and each one has a "champion'? Louisiana plays in the winter season, along with California, Florida, Texas, Mississippi and Arizona. The other 43 states play fall or spring. Big fish, not even a little pond, more like a ditch.
And all the "elite" talent you speak of, take a look at who got signed by any serious D1 soccer program. This isn't all I am sure, but it paints the picture pretty accurately.

So being ranked against Texas, Cali and Fla isn’t impressive? STM’s team this year could have played with anyone in the country and their ranking reflected that.
These girls compete in club tournaments around the country and win their too. In fact the Cajun Rush girls team made it nationals again this year. Against all 50 states.
I believe we have elite talent and they are falling through the cracks.

BT, DT years back. Club, ODP, h/s state championship, soccer politics, national rankings etc. Respectively, there is nothing you’re saying that hasn’t been said here before. There are others here with experiences similar under their belts.
And time has proven a great club team means they have a good supporting cast for one or two players destined to play at a competitive D1 university. They won’t be at UL unless they can’t hang at the bigger program. That has happened here multiple times.
If you feel so strongly that Louisiana has elite being missed on, feel free to list all the talent you claim is falling thru the cracks and where they actually signed.
You’ll learn most hang up the cleats because there is nothing attractive to most 18-21 year old females about riding a bus on weekends to play soccer while their friends are off partying and enjoying freedom away from home for the first time. And most soccer kids are smart, they get TOPS (and often other scholarships) and don’t NEED soccer.
Being you’ve seen travel soccer, you should understand h/s soccer isn’t where the recruiting happens. True elite players in Louisiana are like blue moons…far and few between.
And soccer is no different than any other youth club sport. Watch for the parents that get bewildered, after spending thousands of dollars thinking their spawn will get a free college ride, gets zero offers, or at best, a NAIA or NCAA D2 offer (no athletic scholarship).

Why are they waiting a week?

UL offered the best such as the likes of Maddie Morreau (LSU/WVU), Rammie Noel (LSU), and Mary Ainsley Alack (Samford) but they decided to go to better schools. The staff of 2019-2020 had 6 or 7 from LA which I believe was the most in the state outside of Nicholls.
