Louisiana, the 10th seed in the 14-team field, will tee off from the No. 10 tee beginning at 9:15 a.m. and will be paired with Georgia State and App State in the opening round.

Freshman Malan Potgieter posted his third round of the 2022-23 season in the 60's with a 3-under-par 69 while Eli Ortego carded a 1-under-71 to help the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team finish second overall after the opening day of the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Championships on Monday at Annandale Golf Club.
Second place, 4 off pace.

Eli Ortego posted his third consecutive round of below par, carding a 1-under-71, and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team earned its highest finish since 2012 after finishing in a third-place tie and advancing to Match Play at the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Championships on Wednesday at Annandale Golf Club.
How does this work from here on out? Is this the whole team in one 18 hole round for semis and finals? Or just the top guys? Do you go multiple rounds in each?

Coaches set a 5-man lineup and it’s UL #1 vs USA #1, UL #2 vs USA #2, etc. All of them are playing an 18-hole match play format.
Win, and you get team a point. Tie, you get a half point. Winners play Ga Southern-Troy winner in same format this afternoon.
Looks like delayed start at 9:00 on the plus.
Since it's match play, I assume that all 5 matches count, as opposed to stroke play where the lowest score is dropped.Quote:

I’ve known Theo since he was a snot nose kid coming to our house with my younger brothers. After all the bull $h!+ he took on here last year very happy for him and his team now playing for a conference championship.
We beat SoAl 3-2 in the semifinal, now playing the final against GaSo.
