Dude, I dig it. But I’m not sure what you’re getting at. Make the CFP or renovate Cajun Field? Both?
Make CFP and we never have to wait again.
I like the way you think.
Let’s roll.
is that in reference to the 12 team playoff or will 5 sbc teams be in top four?
Also will g5 be guaranteed a slot in the 12 team playoff, and if so is it instead of or in addition to the NY6 bowl slot that was previously guaranteed every year except when we were a 13-1 champ?
We are going to get The Law Offices of William Gee to change everything around here . . .
>……….l the biggest problem we have is not having specific goals for our athletics Department…we, for years, projected and strived to get R1 status academically……through the great work of so many for so long, these academic goal were gotten…..what do we want as a goal in athletics….to me it is Acceptance in a P-5 conference….the obvious would be the big 12…..well let’s set that goal now and start the steps necessary to get there……without the negatives, could you guys start contributing to anything that we now have or could get that would make UL a worthy candidate…Ok y’all start typing…..geography, academic status, enrollment…….what else????
Long history in football. Certainly longer than Texas Tech for example.
good post boomer, but the problem in comparing the two is that R1 had a set of objective criteria, “acceptance” into P5 does not. Also i dont believe that peer level institutions can hold a blackball vote to keep someone out of R1 or that any other institutions vote on such matters at all, as the criteria is objective.
If old memory serves me pooch’s official name was King Gee Omicron V. Or Gee 5. I’ll have to check in my yearbooks. Bulldogs were kept in private homes. No Vet school and all here.
not sure official name, as the alumni house is the johnston st one? but there was another alumni house catty corner to the church and that had an apartment in the back, and the dog and the dog’s keeper (a student) lived there. sort of like a room and board scholarship for taking care of the dog.
