Not good. Don’t want to watch on my phone. Guess I’ll watch the women.

Re: WBB Final: UL 57, Coastal 68
Single digit first quarter by UL, never recovered. Got close during the 3rd, but CCU slowly pulled away.
CCU shot over 50% from the field, not sure of final number.
Box score N/A presently.
Any crowd over 200 would be generous.
And this…during the first quarter under five time out and the “show your muscles” thing…pickings so slim, dome camera operator picks a group with a guy wearing Alice Shoe gear.

How many single digit quarters have the ladies put up this year? Seems like quite a few

Not counting, but that’s a pretty good indicator who may lose the game.
I wish I could say CCU played great defense in the first quarter, but no. Missed simple shots.

We lost our best player, but goodness knows we should be able to score better than that after a decade of recruiting by the coach.

Garry is safe. He’s 2 years behind Marlin, equal in NIT appearances, but lacking the NCAA trip. Don’t care what happened in pay for play bs tournaments. As long as MBB coasts along, can justify the same for WBB.
And it’s ok, he’s a favorite son.
The excuse of the mess Errol Rogers left is over. So is the excuse of Suber twins balking a few years back. Don’t even know if they ever made it to college period.

Would you be ok if Brad took over WBB three years from now?

Nope. Garry didn’t get the UL job until he paid his dues at the college level. I had hoped BB would go pay his dues but he opted not to. His choice, respect his decision.
There’s no way UL is hiring a h/s coach with only GA experience as a head coach. Those days are gone.
If GB could convince powers that be to allow BB be an assistant for WBB for a few years, that’s a different situation.
And the Southside thing is too fresh. A coach does not get reassigned to a middle school and Southside put on LHSAA probation over minor things. Dust needs to settle.

Can you expound on this a little more?

Non GA college coaching experience.
Garry came here from McNeese for example. Made a name, applied, came home.
I’ve posted this before on RP, and am again. Wish BB the best of luck wherever he goes.
Westgate has potential, just in da Berry NISH and Westgate seem to have a thing which sport will excel where. School board politically caved and made Westgate from freshman high. NISH would be kicking butt and taking names in every sport if the split never happened.

Zoom, trust me on this one. Brad was done dirty at Southside.

Make sure you know the details before you speak… This was a personal issue by the principal. I can show u the film from that game , where no techs were called or anything happened. The LHSAA made a bogus ruling over nothing. I can also show you the player intentionally trying to foul and hurt my players , who I stood up for so no one would get hurt in the game, which caused an argument at half court with the Sulphur Coach, a verbal argument, this had nothing to do with me being let go. Once again y’all come on here and say stuff y’all don’t know the facts about… Y’all try speak facts in 2023.
Reassigned after a principal makes a decisions is the common practice to open up the spot so they can start to take interviews for the next guy. ( Facts man )
Y’all wanna win win, bring excitement back to the dome and have the cajundome rocking, better get on board with Boyd. #GeauxCajuns

Re: WBB Final: UL 57, Coastal 68

As a starter for the University we went to the Post Season all 3 years, 2 NITs & 1 NCAA. I helped recruit and get most of the players to come to UL, when they would take their visits. If i can do that as a player, I can do even better as the Coach. I was a leader and team Captain. I know I can get it done as a coach as well. The Community is behind me. #JustBelieve #GeauxCajuns

____ it. Why not? Maggard hired Des with basically no experience. At the very least, BB brings energy and will no doubt fill more seats than Marlin.
