Louisiana Beach Volleyball
I hear we're gonna build a Ladies Beach Volleyball Program.
The LS........ (purp and yellow) (Basin East) team has enormous support.
Is more intel available?
Potential location of court construction? Right next to the Swamp would be sick.

Re: Louisiana Beach Volleyball
It's a no brainer. Beach Volleyball is cheap to staff and fund, most of the players are easy on the eyes and its a very popular sport for students to attend.

Yes sir.
I can't lie though, I think a great opportunity to build FB Program support is lost by not building something that is gonna have huge support, in the shadow of Cajun Field.

I don’t want to see shadows, I want it to be bright shining skin . .

Re: Louisiana Beach Volleyball
So add Women’s Beach Volleyball which will then allow (title 9) UL to have a men’s soccer team? Make it happen! We are past due for a men’s soccer team.

Re: Louisiana Beach Volleyball
Need to hire a beach VB coach that can recruit DFW bigly.....DFW talent flat out dominates national tournaments..
-
Re: Louisiana Beach Volleyball
I’m not too familiar with how the coaching staffs would be set up. Would there be two separate staffs and squads or is there overlap?
-
Re: Louisiana Beach Volleyball
I would assume overlap like indoor outdoor track and field to lower cost.
Think this way if we pay the current vb coach 70k raise her salary to 100k. If you hire a whole new coach then you would have to pay them double that (60-70k).

Re: Louisiana Beach Volleyball
MSOC isn’t happening. USL can’t manage what they have now. BV is just a cheap duplicate of something we already have.

Re: Louisiana Beach Volleyball
Beach players and coaching is almost always 100% independent of court VB. They are similar but much different skill set needed on sand.
If you want to be competitive.....absolutely must have a Sand VB head coach.
Daughter won bronze in 14u National Championship years ago......I lived the natiional Sand VB circuit a few years. All the top players......ALL of them have 100% Sand VB coaching that parents pay top dollar. I can 100% guarantee you won't get any of the these athletes ever to come to UL with a borrowed part time indoor court coach.

but i believe someone could be on scholarship for beach VB and walk on to indoor or vice versa, can we have a slowpitch or beach softball team and do the same?
