University of Louisiana President E. Joseph Savoie is requesting approval for a ground lease with Ragin’ Cajun Facilities Inc. that would nudge forward plans for a $45 million rebuild and renovation on the home field side of the university's football stadium. But the design is yet incomplete and no dates to build have been set.
The real question is does T-Joe have the funding secured to move forward with design, demolition, and construction. T-Joe has built his legacy on improving building and beautification on the academic campus. Now it’s time for him to secure funding for Cajun Field and the baseball locker rooms.
So, I heard it was a $60M renovation… then a $70M renovation… now we are down to $45M??
Amazing RP gets riled up and here we are.
Most important quote from the article…” But the design is yet incomplete and no dates to build have been set”.
It is going to happen guys. I promise.
Fixed it Turbine...
There's plenty the University is not telling us. Something doesn't smell right. This project was supposed to start at end of last season then got pushed back to end of this season now we are hearing it's still in the design phase or whatever BS their saying now. No timetable is given. Don't be surprised if this project is put on hold indefinitely.
