How many games has he played in? I recall only 1. He has 2 more and can still keep his red shirt. No reason to blow a red shirt at this point in the season. Would love to see him get a shot down the stretch and keep his eligibility.

I'm real serious. He's clearly a talented dual-threat quarterback and seems to have his head on straight. The portal has been bad for us so it's best to get out in front of it and do what we can to keep him and make sure he's ready to be what he came here to be.
NOBODY should be guarantee a starting spot. Most if not all folks on this board would disagree with you on that. The cream always rises, if he is good enough then he will win it on his own merit and not on a promise.Quote:

Unless the offensive coaching staff matures and can figure out better in game adjustments we will struggle. Our OL play has been mediocre to poor. Chandler or Ben would be lighting this league up if we don’t get killed at the OL with the portal and preseason injuries.
I won’t disagree that those two are the future, but the OL is the problem today.
QB is not the problem on this team. OL and game preparation is light years behind from last year.Quote:
