Potential for rain and the elephant in the room 45 miles East. We are a mediocre football team, and I have seen ZERO promotion. This has the potential to be one of the worst attended Saturday games in a good while. I’m predicting announced attendance 12,215 and our smallest student crowd of the year.
They will be lucky to have 5k in the stands. 100 or so students. 4K diehards. Announced attendance will be around 14kQuote:

We have not announced what has been scanned in at least five years, probably longer. Announced attendance is based on ticket sales, not actual butts in the seats.

The only place I know people were talking about malfunctioning scanners was on this message board. Regarding the EMU game, I am sure it had to do with a number in the placeholder for attendance. It was the same as the SLU game. When someone noticed it, they took it down and put it at zero until they got the correct number. The correct number is up now. The people that provide the attendance are not the same people that write the stories or post the attendance in the box score. There are times there can be a lack of communication.Quote:
