why does he have to go to juco first?
He played at that juco last year. This will be his 2nd year there. He was not great there. He needs to improve. He had a 5.04 era in juco. My take is he probably has a huge upside but needs more experience
The answer is once you go Juco, you must finish your juco obligation before being eligible again to play D1

I could be wrong, and I usually am, but I do not think the transfer rules apply to Jucos because they are not part of the NCAA. So I think the rule remains the same.
I will try and get clarification on the rule.
In years past if you were academically eligible when entering a JC, you could transfer to a 4 year university at any time. If you were not eligible when entering the JC, you then needed to graduate from the JC before being eligible at the 4 year.Quote:
