Cajuns Basketball Head Coach

Coach Marlin has been our coach for 12 years and he has only been to the NCAA tournament one time and we could not play a competitive game.
I watched another embarrassing loss tonight.

Every year, we apparently recruit talented athletes who should position us as potential conference champions.

It’s obvious, coach doesn’t have the communication skills to coach up D 1 players. He should call Billy Napier for advise or go back to coaching high school.

I have been attending Cajuns basketball games for at least 30 years.

It’s time to move on.

I think he needs another 5 years.. He can turn it around !

I agree, we have very talented players and just maybe coach does not have the drive anymore. Either make it happen or lets go hunting some NEW HC. Believe me I have loved talking with coach in years past and he is a very nice and knowledgeable coach but its time to WIN and PACK the DOME!

Anyone have any sources as to if Marlin will be let go before the next game?

Not Bob's style either...

No change will happen until the season is over and a national search is held. Maggard’s track record. That is, unless Marlin leads the team to the NCAAs.

Twelve more years and Marlin will have this thing figured out and humming on all cylinders. Patience, grasshoppers.

Brad Boyd

I don’t even know if this is a nationally desirable basketball job anymore.

I’m sure Brock Morris and Brad Boyd will be interested, but together these gentlemen will make an awesome coaching Team.

Before Dr. M spends any money on a national search, he needs to make a local phone call to BRAD BOYD.

He would probably be wise to interview for an assistant role.

And if it’s HS ranks, better have some state titles on the resume.

How Can we think much of the basketball program? 1 NCAA tourney in 12 years. The program is in the dumps.

If he played at McNeese and with his current resume would you still hire him as a HC. Where a coach played is irrelevant.

Yes. Put in a national search and truly look for candidates. I like Brad Boyd as well but I'm tired of this hire local ____. You don't just jump into college coaching with no time on the bench. If the next coach wants to hire BB, I'm all in and can't wait to see it happen.
