Re: GA Southern Roll Call
$20.00 to park!!!!!! And then they expect their fans to have walk or take a trolley to the station! You must be kidding!
Re: GA Southern Roll Call
Some Cajun “fans” won’t even consider paying $10 to park. Yet, would like to see the program continue to make progress! 😱
Re: GA Southern Roll Call
This was the only road game I thought I could make due to other commitments then my boss reminded me I can't take Friday off due to Lafayette hosting the Homeless Veteran Stand Down in Lafayette on Friday. Guess no road games until the bowl game.

Downtown area has a few nice restaurants and bars, especially around campus for the younger crowd. Like other major cities, make sure you don't get lost and get off the ramp on the wrong side of town. Savanna has major drug crime problems in certain parts of the town.

Re: GA Southern Roll Call
I was thinking about making it, but with our impending move and lots of other things going on, I am not going to be able. I am going to try to make the Coastal game.

Game day parking is $20..10 in advance...UL section is H and HH...there probably aren't any hotel rooms in Statesboro. Augusta (where I'm staying) is an 80 mile trip. Savannah is under 50. You can fly into either. Atl is 150 or so to Statesboro. Who's with me!
Park across from Dengus McGee's restaurant.
Walk one block to the Student center The busses run for free every 3-5 minutes to the stadium and back after the game.
Parking is free there.
Re: GA Southern Roll Call
Hey, y'all! Greetings from Statesboro this fine afternoon. Looking forward to hosting any of you guys dedicated enough to watch your team plays several states away.
Our biggest tailgate lot is right behind the stadium. Normally have a couple to a few thousand back there depending on the opponent and how we're playing. However, this is a donor lot. The other paid lots at the PAC (Performing Arts Center) and RAC (Recreational Activity Center...student gym and intramural fields) are a short walk to the stadium. The RAC will probably have the most free spots. If anyone has any RV or tailgate setup questions, let us know and we will help find the answers.
Also, I know we have a reputation a lot of us (who have finally grown up) would like to shed. Fortunately, you guys aren't App or Gag, so there shouldn't be too many idiots making things uncomfortable. I'd love to meet and greet any of you making the trip. Let me know what your favorite beer is, and I'll have a sixer waiting on ya.
Really want anyone traveling to have a great experience, so just let me know what questions, concerns, complaints, or whatever you have so that you'll love every bit of your trips to Statesboro/Savannah outside of the final score.
When I was over there for the LSU game, I did take a trip to Lafayette and checked out the town (American Airlines sent my bags to the wrong airport). I certainly must have taken the wrong route because I didn't get a chance to see all of the growth and "new stuff" in that area. If any of you want to know the "must go's and must stay away's" for the area, just give me a shout.
And please excuse Talon. It's a shtick. He means no harm, and no he's not actually special.
