6'9 Juco Doudou Gueye Coming to Louisiana
YurView LouisianaRT @GoodmanHoops:"Louisiana Lafayette has signed 6-foot-9 Daytona State College forward Doudou Gueye, source told @stadium. Look for Daytona coach Brock Morris to join the Lafayette staff as an assistant."

I may have lost count but I believe someone else would have to leave if this is true about DouDou. We lose 3 seniors plus Hayes and Miller but have 3 early signees plus 3 juco guys (including DouDou) coming in. And that's assuming Marquetti doesn't come back.

Maybe Brock is the bag man, package deal, looks like DooDoo has committed to us!!! Nice job Brock

Maybe this is his cousin

Can shoot the 3 when need be, likes to post up, but has a soft jumper from 10-15 in. He is a little more physical than JG at 6'9" 220 lbs. Needs to work on his FT shooting, only a 59% FT shooter, but 38% from 3 point and 50% from the field. Solid rebounder and shot blocker.

Our bigs next year will be Smith, Johnson, and Gueye. More Athletic overall than we have had in some time there. Davis will probably play some at 3 spot along with Julien. We will have 8 new players next year although Julien and Davis practiced last year.

And considering how potentially small we were looking to be 3-4 weeks ago, at least our size will be encouraging.
Hopefully, it all comes together.
Another 6'9 Basketball Juco?
Heard a report that UL will be signing another juco from Daytona State.
Doudou Gueye
Forward
Sophomore
6'9"
220
Dakar, Senegal / Hachioji
Re: Another 6'9 Basketball Juco?
There was a lot of discussion on DouDou in the Miller thread that may need to be merged here.
There was also lots of discussion pertaining to actual doo doo in that thread as well that doesn’t need to be merged here.
Re: Another 6'9 Basketball Juco?
It has been confirmed that he has signed. He is a point forward type player. Ball handling and passing skills pretty good for a guy 6’ 9”.

I'll take it in a heartbeat if he can replicate those types of numbers.
Re: 6'9 Juco Doudou Gueye Coming to Louisiana
Looks like we beat out a lot of big time programs to get him.
On paper we have an excellent young team.

It'll take a year to develop chemistry.
Re: 6'9 Juco Doudou Gueye Coming to Louisiana
I didn't see a lot of back to the basket play but I like his athleticism. Smooth stroke on the jumper too.

Cedrick Russel
PJ Hardy
Durey Caldwell
Kobe Julian
DeuDeu Gueye
Jerikus Davis
Trajan Wesley
Jalen Johnson
Not a bad 8 man rotation
