It has been tried in the past but Owls had no interest. Perhaps relationships Dr. Maggard has allowed it to happen. Great for our Houston area alumni base. Terrific news. Now we need to get same deal done in basketball.

And baseball, hopefully whoever their new coach is will be open to that. You would think baseball would have been the first to get it done.

About time..always seemed like a no brainer to me..especially given the similar style of play.

Man, this really is great news. Such an easy drive, and great place once you get there....both ensure high Cajuns turnout. Plus home and home makes it fantastic.

It is highly likely none of the coaches or administrators with either program will be there to witness the 2025 game. Good move by their AD. When Rice fans complain about coming to Lafayette he won’t hear it from the golf course at Houston CC.
