Question for Tigue Patrons
Would you guys be in favor of oversized Polish hotdogs (of course, with the fixins) served outside of the park (kind of like the Philly cheese steak guy)? And if someone (like me) could deliver on that, who would be the proper person to contact?
Re: Question for Tigue Patrons
Fried shrimp and fried catfish. Please come back to the Tigue!!
I'm not a huge fan of polisausage.

I'd imagine you could pose the question to the Ath Dept secretary and she could direct you. I think Robe may have final word on stuff like that but maybe its delegated to someone else.

She should be able get you talking to the right person or just give you the runaround until you give up.

I'm almost positive that ALL catering was put under one University contract. Which means no room for competition. If it isn't done by the catering company it probably isn't going to happen.
Guess we should be thankful for the peanuts.

I dont know about that. Does Sodexo provide the Cheese steaks and Big Kahuna Burgers? I'm going to have to search but I remember reading from someone in the know last season. Could be wrong though.
Re: Question for Tigue Patrons
Whatever happen to the catfish and shrimp shack anyway? Great during lent. Must have screwed up on their contract and got kicked out. Not much on the philly cheese steak either. Not a very clean look to it. But the beer cups are very clean.
Re: Question for Tigue Patrons
I heard it stated last year that they were trying to get the seafood cart back at the park for this year. They were hoping to work out a deal with Sodexo similar to what was done for Mr Vic's peanuts. The prices went up, but they were able to keep working at the park.
I, like mentioned above, would really like the seafood/ice cream/snowball trailer back at the park.
Re: Question for Tigue Patrons
Fried Shrimp status from last year per Scott Farmer (via rgncjn12 phone call):

Mr. Farmer and Coach Robicheaux have both been contacting the guy responsible and he assures them he is coming but continues to fail and show up.

If you need any help, I almost have my degree in Culinary Arts! ;)
Re: Question for Tigue Patrons
WTF is with the beer?! Smaller cups, same price and only one stand! Come people get it together!

Re: Question for Tigue Patrons
Theres no way I'm drinking a 16 ounce beer. Feels more like a 12 ounce. I also saw them refuse to sell to a man who was clearly over 21 (white hair and beard) because he didn't have his ID on him. This really is past terrible.

Re: Question for Tigue Patrons
I hear that they didn't get the right cups in time so they had to use the smaller ones. Totally ridiculous. Get it right for once. But the beer will be back to the 24oz from what I hear.

9 months to get your cup order in and we cant do it? typical crap at our institution
Re: Question for Tigue Patrons
Ok, so the wrong cups came in. How about charge $4 instead of $6 for the small ones.

Re: Question for Tigue Patrons
Burgers are delicious. Wished the shrimp guy would come back but I've given up.
On cold nights I wished they have coffee. I must be the only coffee drinker at the Tigue.
One beer stand? I hope that improves before the heat sets in. We did laugh at the tiny cups but not at the price.
I wished fofo all the luck in the world. Anything would be a welcome addition.

Well, there is always two sides of the story. The police had several undercover working tonights game, and the vendor shouldn't have to put his license on the line because someone left their house without an ID. There is a reason you are required to wear the wrist ban, do it and there is no problem. It doesn't matter how obvious it is to anyone how old a person is, bring the ID.
I discussed the 16 ounce beer tonight with Scott Farmer and he knew that the beer was larger at football games, but that is their decision. It's all about the money folks, enjoy the game and relax.

I realize this is small stuff. But let's get the easy stuff right.
I don't have a problem with folks expressing their opinions CajunZ, I just don't think is as big a deal as some people have made it. There are much more important concerns about this athletic program, then beer.IMO
Re: Question for Tigue Patrons
Those beer cups could hold no more than 10 oz. and for 6 bucks I can see a lot of people having a few outside before the game.
