He probably noticed LTUR ranked 19th in getting players to NFL. A much higher rank than a lot of P5 schools.

No of course not. His major is Proper Bulldog Care taking. Not one of LTUR's best.

This is what bothers me about HUD's strategy. I understand that kids will decommit, but we swung and missed on a kid that had two years left to play and marginal talent.
Could we have spent that time and resources on a H.S. senior that may have redshirted in 2017 and we now have 4 years of eligibility. Most of all, the kid wants to be here.
I would like to see HUD implement the "Dabo Swiney" rule. Once you commit to Clemson, Dabo makes it clear that you can not go on visits to other schools.
Once a kid decided he wants to play for UL......make it clear....Your playing for UL......period!
If this was an SEC talent like Otha or J. Brazil where they actually had success in the SEC....maybe I would consider bending the rule, but not for JUCO marginal talent.
Recruiting is a tough business and we better get tough.

Clemson & the P5 teams can probably get away with doing that, but unfortunately that's not something G5 teams can do

You can't bend some of your policies for some players and not others, wanna talk about losing a locker room, probably why hud is in the mess he is in right now

do you mean like when some players are allowed to not go to class without in-season penalties, but others have too go?
Re: Ragin' Cajuns Commitment DB Michael Sam Flips to Louisiana Tech
Almost every FBS coach bends policy. It all depends on the need and talent. You think Sabans using up good will capitalin a failing third teamer if he gets caught with illegal guns and drugs.
